At the end of the 18th century, the church of the convent of the order of San Francisco was built, with donations and the work of the entire neighbourhood of Estepona.
At the beginning of the 20th century, an imposing clock was placed inside this tower, which continues to mark the rhythm of time in the streets of the old quarter with its bells.

It was built during the reign of Felipe II, at the end of the 16th century, to reinforce the medieval walls of Estepona, formerly an Arab Istibuna.
Estepona has become an open-air museum thanks to the artistic murals that decorate the façades of buildings in different neighbourhoods and areas of the municipality.
